2. App Permissions and Data Handling

To provide its core features, FlashLight AI requires access to specific device capabilities. Below is a detailed disclosure of how these permissions are managed:

Camera / Flashlight Access: This permission is required solely to toggle your device’s physical LED camera flash hardware to function as a torch and execute SOS strobe features. We do not access your camera sensor, take photos, or record videos.
Microphone Access (RECORD_AUDIO): This permission is strictly utilized to power the Clap Detection feature, enabling the flashlight to turn on or off via acoustic cues.

        Important Microphone Privacy Disclosure: All audio stream processing for clap detection occurs strictly in real-time, volatile memory locally on your device. Absolutely no audio files or voice recordings are saved to local storage, and no audio data is ever transmitted over the internet. The processing stream terminates instantly once the clap gesture is recognized.
    

3. Security

Since FlashLight AI operates completely offline and does not harvest any user data, there is no risk of personal data breach from our application. We implement industry-standard secure coding practices within the Android framework to ensure your device environment remains safe.

4. Children’s Privacy

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers (if any temporary logs exist during system errors).

This application does not integrate any third-party SDKs, tracking tools, or advertising networks that collect your information. Your app usage remains completely anonymous.
